About the role We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced clinical coders to join our national coding team. The position will join the National Coding Team, reporting directly to the National Health Information Manager and into the National Revenue Team. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Accurately coding episodes using ICD-10-AM in accordance with Australian Coding Standards and relevant state and national advice. Ensuring all coding is completed in a timely manner, in accordance with internal and external. Participate in documentation improvement and revenue optimisation activities. Participate in Coding audit activities as required. About you Bachelor or Masters in Health Information Management (or equivalent tertiary qualification); or completion of HIMAA approved clinical coding course Experience and demonstrated excellence in Clinical Coding using ICD-10-AM Classification system across broad Casemix for a period of at least 3 years is essential and experience in a hospital or health care setting is desirable. Strong Computer literacy Ability to effectively prioritise and work to tight deadlines. Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Desirable: Experience with the private health sector funding and billing requirements.
