Job Description

The City of Canterbury Bankstown is one of the largest councils in NSW, serving a diverse community with 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres for over 385,000 residents. Role Overview Lead and inspire a team to deliver essential repairs and upgrades across Canterbury-Bankstowns road network, helping keep the city moving safely and efficiently. Duties Work as directed within the Roads Operations unit. Perform daytoday civil roads maintenance and support functions in an efficient and effective manner. Ensure work of the team is performed in a timely, costeffective manner to prescribed quality standards and to meet customer needs. Ensure that WH&S regulations are met in accordance with Councils guidelines. Utilise the technology and follow processes required to start and complete works as assigned. Prepare onsite risk assessments. Maximise productivity through current industry best practices. For a full list of duties, click HERE to review the position description. Qualifications WH&S White Card. C Class Drivers licence. Traffic Controllers Certificate. Previous experience in a comparable field. The ability to read engineering and civil plans for roadworks, drainage and related works. Experience in concrete works. Experience and knowledge of general civil construction works. Experience in the estimation of material needs for projects. Experience leading staff to undertake civil construction tasks. Salary The salary range for this opportunity starts at $71,820 (Grade D, Step1) + 12% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience. Benefits An attractive remuneration package.
