The role requires creativity, leadership, and a strong understanding of modern Australian and international cuisines. Competitive base salary and stable full-time hours. Task & responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook menu items in accordance with JuJus culinary standards. Oversee food preparation and assist junior kitchen staff as required. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials. Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and minimise wastage. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area. Test and develop new recipes to introduce innovative dishes consistent with JuJus contemporary dining style. Collaborate with management on menu engineering, event catering, and special functions to align culinary output with business objectives. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate service delivery during busy trading periods. Monitor kitchen productivity, delegate tasks efficiently, and ensure smooth service flow during peak hours. Maintain kitchen records including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and supplier documentation in line with compliance standards. Collaborate with management to uphold consistency and customer satisfaction Qualification & experience Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification). At least 1 years of relevant full-time experience as a qualified chef (2+ years desired) Sound knowledge of Australian food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Passion for innovative cuisine and attention to detail.
