Server Engineer Secure Cloud & Infrastructure We are seeking an experienced Server Engineer to support and evolve secure, cloudnative and onpremises platforms within a highly regulated environment. This is a handson technical role working closely with senior technology stakeholders to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of businesscritical systems. You will support modern, containerised platforms and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives as the organisation scales. This role may be offered on a permanent, fixedterm, or contract basis and is primarily remote, with travel to Canberra or another nominated location as required. Due to the nature of the environments supported, candidates must hold, This is a longterm opportunity suited to an engineer seeking stability, technical ownership, and career progression. Major Duties: Build, configure, and maintain Linux servers across production and nonproduction environments Manage and support cloud and onpremises infrastructure to ensure availability and performance Deploy, operate, and support container platforms and associated services Implement security baselines, system hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity using appropriate tools Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures Mandatory Skillsets: Strong handson Linux systems administration experience Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure and virtualised environments Excellent troubleshooting skills across OS, networking, and performance issues Scripting and automation capability using Bash and/or Python Experience working in securityfocused or compliancedriven environments Desirable Skillsets: Experience operating container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools and deployment practices Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions Background supporting government or highly regulated environments Engagement: Full -time Permanent or contractLocation: Canberra or Sydney Work Environment: Hybrid Security Requirements: To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen.
