Steamatic Canberra is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Supervisor to lead our Contents Restoration division across residential and commercial insurance restoration projects throughout the ACT region. This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader to join one of Australias most established restoration companies, managing a team responsible for restoring clients belongings following fire, water, mould, storm, and accidental damage events. We are looking for someone who can lead from the front, maintain high standards, support and develop a team, and deliver outstanding outcomes during what are often stressful situations for our clients. This is not an office-based role we are looking for a practical leader who is comfortable working alongside their team in fast-paced and constantly changing environments. About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor will oversee day-to-day contents restoration operations including on-site works, warehouse activities, inventory management, team coordination, and client communication. This role combines leadership, operational coordination, customer service, and hands-on restoration work. No two days are the same. Key Responsibilities - Lead and supervise Contents Technicians both on-site and within the warehouse environment- Coordinate contents restoration projects from commencement through to completion- Oversee cleaning and restoration of contents impacted by fire, water, mould, and other insured events- Assess salvageable and non-salvageable contents in line with company and insurer standards- Ensure accurate inventory recording, photographing, packing, and documentation of client belongings- Maintain quality control and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high professional standard- Provide coaching, support, and direction to team members- Liaise professionally with clients, insurers, trades, and internal stakeholders- Ensure reports, inventories, timesheets, and administrative requirements are completed accurately and on time- Assist with scheduling, resource allocation, and operational planning- Maintain a strong safety culture and organised work environment About You You are organised, practical, calm under pressure, and able to take ownership of both people and outcomes.
