Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency. About the Opportunity As a physiotherapist, you will plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality, evidence-informed clinical physiotherapy care to patients/clients and their families/carers with Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) as part of a multidisciplinary team. This position provides leadership to a clinical team as required as well as clinically supervise Level 1/2 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants and students. In this role you will: Provide high-level, evidence-informed clinical service to clients/patients, their families/carers and other health professionals for complex cases requiring advanced practice skills, independent operation and minimal direct supervision. Identify, plan, implement, evaluate, and report on continuous improvement initiatives to promote effectiveness and efficiency of clinical service delivery. Ensure client/patient/consumer care is delivered within professional, organisational, legal and ethical boundaries and reflects evidence based, best practice knowledge. Exercise independent professional judgement in solving problems and managing cases where principles, procedures, techniques and methods require expansion, adaptation or modification. About You We are looking for someone who has: Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapy with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency. Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated advanced reasoning and problem solving skills, effective time management and the ability to prioritise workload while applying professional and ethical boundaries. High level of broad generalist and/or specialist knowledge within physiotherapy. Demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence-informed practice and continuous improvement in area of specialty.
