Experienced Youth Residential Support Worker - Full time roles based in various locations across the Perth metro area - 2.5 days shifts inc. overnights over 3 weeks followed by scheduled days off - Generous salary + Salary Packaging pay less tax = more take home pay! As a Youth Residential Support Worker, youll provide safe, consistent, and nurturing care to children and young people with Autism, some of whom have experienced trauma, in a 24/7 setting. Youll support all areas of daily lifephysical, emotional, social, cultural, and educationalusing a strengths-based approach to help each young person build skills, grow, and reach their potential. Based in various suburbs across the Perth metro area, our clients are supported 24/7 and as a full-time support worker, you will work three 2.5-day shifts (including overnights) over a three-week period followed by scheduled days off inc. 9 days off at the end of the 3 week roster! What You Will Do - Supporting children and young people with their daily routines, such as attendance at school, meals, personal care, medical or therapy appointments. - Engaging children and young people in active supports by encouraging their involvement in day-to-day tasks, decision-making, and activities that promote independence, skill-building, and personal growth. - Supporting children and young people to maintain meaningful connections to their family and community. - Nurturing trust and building positive relationships through open, empathetic communication and consistency. - Providing guidance through challenges, celebrating progress and helping to build confidence and resilience. What Were Looking For - A Certificate IV in Child, Youth, and Family Intervention, or a related qualification. - A full, unrestricted drivers license (no P plates) and a suitable 4 door vehicle - Well developed communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trust and meaningful connections with the children and young people you are supporting. - The ability to mentor and guide children and young people, helping them develop practical life skills and grow their independence. - Resilience and emotional strength to navigate challenges with empathy and determination. - A calm and solution-oriented mindset, ensuring you remain composed under pressure. - Experience in supporting children and young people with complex needs.
