Access to Sonder, our 24/7 Employee Assistance Program, including immediate mental health and counselling support as well as specialist support lines and wellbeing programs for you and your immediate family Make an impact at Serco Responsibilities as a Dental Assistant Provide chairside assistance to a Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist Assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records, and other duties as required Assist in the promotion of oral health to patients Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, including Defence Policies & Procedures Contribute to the cleanliness and effectiveness of a dental surgery environment and maintain optimal hygiene of the surgery About ADF Health Services In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. This includes providing defenceready clinical and support staff at 45+ onbase locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality onsite medical care. About Robertson Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of Darwin. It is home to the 1st Brigade & 1st Aviation Regiment. The facility supports approximately 2800 members, with a large reserve component, and accommodates an additional 2500 US Marines every 6 months from May to September. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy and mental health services, and operates a 22bed lowdependency ward 24/7. Standard operating hours are generally 07:3015:30 MondayFriday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and oncall shifts). To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification Demonstrated compliance with relevant standards and procedures Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) chairside experience within the last 5 years Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification Please Note You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role. You do not need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian onbase; your position remains here even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
