Through coaching and development, we not only develop individual skills but also enhance Northlines culture and expertise.All of our employees are trained in the most efficient and effective methods of secure handling, from container loads to fragile product to doorstep deliveries.Job no: 495272 Work type: Permanent Full Time Location: SA - Adelaide Categories: Fleet Allocation/CoordinationAs a Fleet Allocator / Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the efficient scheduling and operations of our Pick-Up and Delivery (PUD) fleet, ensuring the highest levels of service to our internal Freight, Warehousing, and Distribution customers.Key Responsibilities:Fleet Scheduling: Efficiently plan and schedule pickup and delivery runs through Orcoda to maximise fleet performance, ensuring punctuality and accuracy.Driver Coordination: Maintain constant communication with drivers, assisting with job allocation and ensuring accurate loading and timely deliveries.Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods licences, Driver Fatigue Laws, and all safety standards.KPI Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including missed pickups, return times, and overall fleet performance.ProblemSolving: Address any missed or delayed pickups, and implement corrective actions immediately. Handle special delivery requests and priority freight as required.Fleet Presentation & Safety: Ensure that the fleet is wellmaintained, meets safety standards, and adheres to load restraint and fatigue management guidelines.Attention to Detail: Excellent planning abilities with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to delegate, lead, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.Time Management: Exceptional time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.Experience: Previous experience in the Transport and Logistics industry, particularly in fleet scheduling or dispatch, is highly desirable.System Proficiency: Experience using computerized dispatch systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Fatigue & Compliance Management: Knowledge of NHVR Fatigue Management or BFM, Load Restraint Guidelines, and Dangerous Goods handling is highly regarded.Learning, training and development support: Northline believes in the people we hire.
