Engineering Manager (Consumer - Growth) Location: Remote, Australia | Job ID: GCEM06US Responsibilities Build and manage fullstack engineering teams to deliver features, services, and infrastructure across web and mobile platforms. Coach direct reports to drive positive impact and support career growth. Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate company vision into a quarterly roadmap. Break down complex projects, lead iterative design and implementation, and make thoughtful architectural decisions. Ensure successful delivery and operation of multitenanted, distributed systems at scale. Partner with the talent organization to identify and recruit exceptional engineers who align with Coinbase culture. Own engineering quality processes and meet servicelevel agreements. Work closely with product and design to create bestinclass product experiences. Translate highvalue ideas into tangible features that customers love. Qualifications At least 7 years of software engineering experience, preferably with webscale traffic. At least 2 years of engineering management experience. Strong understanding of highquality code and effective engineering processes. Executionfocused mindset with ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver results. Ability to balance longterm strategic thinking with shortterm planning. Experience building, delivering, and operating multitenanted, distributed systems at scale. Handson technical capability coding, technical documentation, oncall rotations, incident leadership, and bug triage. Passion for building an open financial system. Proven track record designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services. High bar for product excellence, customer obsession, and comprehensive observability. Uptodate with latest industry standards and best practices. Nice to have: Growth Engineering experience. Nice to have: active crypto or financial instrument trading. Nice to have: experience scaling from startup to midsize. Nice to have: modernizing legacy systems or rearchitecting nextgen versions. Benefits Base salary range: $218,025$256,500 USD.
