The RoleAn exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and hard-working Operator Maintainer Electrical to join our team at our Dongara plant.Reporting to the Superintendent Dongara, the Operator Maintainer Electrical will be responsible for ensuring site plans, objectives and operational requirements are met through the safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical systems and plant equipment.This role plays a key part in maintaining plant availability, supporting continuous operations, and ensuring all electrical assets are functioning optimally without environmental impact.If you are a proactive, innovative, adaptable and flexible self-starter who sets out to achieve and maintain high professional standards, we want to hear from you for this full-time permanent position.This position forms part of a continuous shift roster with 2 nights, 2 days and 4 days off.ResponsibilitiesDeliver electrical maintenance services across plant and equipmentMaintain production of quicklime through monitoring and control of electrical systems and process instrumentationConduct fault finding, diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical and control systemsPerform inspection, testing, calibration and maintenance of electrical equipment including motors, drives, PLCs and instrumentationCarry out routine preventative and predictive electrical maintenanceSupport breakdown response and minimise downtime through effective fault resolutionAssist with continuous improvement initiatives and electrical system upgradesEnsure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and proceduresWhat you will need to succeedTrade qualification as an Electrician (A-grade / Electrical Licence)Experience working in a heavy industrial environmentStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability across electrical and control systemsExperience with PLCs, VSDs, motors and industrial instrumentationDemonstrated ability to identify, manage and mitigate workplace risksAbility to work autonomously while contributing to a team environmentCompetent with basic computer systems and maintenance management systems (e.g. SAP)A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvementStrong problem-solving skills with the resilience to implement solutionsOur BusinessCockburn Cement is the leading Western Australian manufacturer of cement, lime, packaged cement and drymix products.
