The vacancy may close without notice.Kalgoorlie, Western Australia Full-timeAbout The RoleWe are seeking a proactive Senior Plant Operator Civil to assist in the construction and maintenance of roads, footpaths, shared use paths, kerbing, minor concrete installations and verges within the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.DutiesEnsure all WHS obligations are met as per the Citys policies and procedures, and complete Take 5 risk assessments, SWMS and plant pre-starts.Meet work schedule/attendance expectations and maintain a professional image.Complete assigned tasks in a thorough, accurate and timely manner to required standards.Advise immediate supervisor by text or phone of all absences and expected duration before scheduled start of shift.Maintain vehicles, plant, machinery and equipment in a clean, presentable and serviceable manner.Document all tasks fully and accurately on a daily basis and complete timesheets or leave applications daily.Who We Are Looking ForTo be considered for this position, you will need:Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar civil construction and maintenance role, including roads and drainage.Minimum of 5 years experience operating at least 2 of the following mobile plants: Grader, Excavator, Bobcat (not limited to these; specialised plant is an advantage).Experience working with levels, laser levels, and a good understanding of construction site plans. Final Trim operators are an advantage.Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.Previous experience operating maintenance and construction plant and equipment; currently qualified (ticketed) to operate such plant (e.g., skid steer, excavators, loaders, rollers, graders, forklifts).Holder of a Traffic Management qualification or willingness to obtain one.Current satisfactory National Police Clearance.Current WA HC class drivers licence (Manual) or willingness to obtain; minimum HR class drivers licence essential.Construction Card (White Card).Residential position only (not FIFO/DIDO or Sponsored).
