Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all of SCTs WHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving HME, pallet jacks Ability to use technology and scanners Application of load restraint to freight loads Manual handling of freight items Rolling load restraint freight straps Stickering freight for transport Inspecting and controlling equipment to identify wear and damage Ensuring goods are stored in correct areas so that they can be easily located when orders are made up Transporting goods to designated areas in warehouses, and shipping terminals Monitoring equipment operation visually through gauges and instruments and through computerized monitoring equipment Desired Skills and Experience Essential Experience & knowledge of warehouse and transport industries HR License required Experience in warehouse in a crossdock facility environment Experience in a freight scanning environment Use of scanning equipment Stocking of freight Packing and labelling of items for shipping Loading and unloading, using forklift to safely load & unload stock Prestart checks vehicle checks, HME maintenance, tyre pressures, cleanliness of HME Safety compliance Desirable Sound knowledge of local areas Previous EPJ experience desired Other important information We reserve the right to commence recruitment proceedings prior to the stated closing date The successful candidate will have to undertake an Australian Federal Police check and PreEmployment Medical (for certain roles) which will be arranged and paid for by SCT Recruitment companies need not apply SCT is an equal opportunity employer and we recognise the value and importance of diversity.
