We are seeking an experienced Senior / Lead Mechanical Designer to join our Design & Project Engineering team working across a diverse range of minerals processing projects. Reporting to our Drawing Office Manager your key responsibilities will cover: Mechanical Design and Drafting of mechanical assemblies, systems, and plant layouts. Performing detailed CAD work (3D modelling & 2D drawings), and review designs for accuracy, functionality, and compliance with Australian standards. Managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverable timelines. Collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to integrate vendor data and ensure designs are ready for fabrication and installation. Identifying any potential drafting clashes, design conflicts, or scope gaps and updating the Drawing Office Manager and other relevant discipline Leads. Delivering multiple smaller projects concurrently. What you will bring to the role: 10+ years of experience in mechanical design drafting, some lead experience will be highly desirable. Extensive experience in Advance Steel CAD and the Autodesk suite of software highly desirable. Deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, fabrication techniques, and relevant standards. Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Exposure to greenfield and brownfield project environments. Why Join Us?
