Drug and Alcohol Clinician Join our Drug & Alcohol team and play a key role in supporting individuals experiencing alcohol and other drug related issues. What youll be doing: In this role, you will support individuals affected by substance use through recoveryfocused, harmminimisation care. You will deliver evidencebased interventions while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve meaningful recovery outcomes. You will: - Providing comprehensive intake, assessment, risk management and case management for individuals experiencing alcohol and other drug related issues. - Delivering evidencebased therapeutic interventions using a recoveryoriented and harmminimisation approach. - Supporting clients through withdrawal management and, where applicable, Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) care in line with NSW Health guidelines. - Working collaboratively with consumers, families, carers and multidisciplinary partners to ensure coordinated, personcentred care. - Maintaining accurate clinical documentation, data collection and reporting to support quality care and service improvement. Your contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level. Criteria will need to meet the following criteria: - Relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Counselling, and hold peak body membership/registration with AHPRA or AASW. - Demonstrated knowledge of alcohol and other drugs, including different classes of drugs, their effects and evidencebased interventions. - Experience in assessment, intake, counselling/therapeutic interventions and case management with individuals experiencing substance use issues. - Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution. - Hold a current Class C Drivers licence and hold a paid NSW Working With Children Check More information: 1) Download thePosition Description 2) Find out more aboutapplyingfor this position For role related queries or questions contactAnthony Gomez, Manager Community Mental Health Drug and Alcohol on *************@health.nsw.gov.au MLHD welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and is committed to building a workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
