Location: Middle Swan Work Type: Casual/Relief Established in 1983, Swan Christian College is anon-denominational school in Swan Valley serving around 1,600students from Kindergarten to Year 12. We are seeking an energetic andreliable Caf Assistant to join our dynamichospitality team commencing as soon as youreavailable. This is a relief position,with flexible times. Prepare and serve a variety of hot drinks at our popular How yaBean? Coffee shop on school mornings. If you are a cafassistant who thrives on hospitality, building positiverelationships with students, and contributing to a supportiveschool community, we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Include - Prepare and serve coffee and other drinks at the Collegecaf, following recipes and using equipment safely andefficiently. - Welcome and engage customers with a friendly manner,determining their preferences and using an EFTPOS machineconfidently. - Supervise and support students involved in theColleges hospitality program during cafoperations. - Maintain stock and equipment, including replenishingsupplies, performing basic maintenance, and reporting anyissues. - Ensure cleanliness and safety by following hygienestandards, identifying potential hazards, and minimisingrisks. - Support daily operations by setting up/packing downcaf equipment and signage and carrying out other tasksas directed by the line manager. Selection Criteria Essential - Demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ andactively participate in a Christian church community. - Accept and live in alignment with the AssociationsStatement of Faith, Foundational Beliefs, and EducationalObjectives. - Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships withfamilies, College staff, and SCEA Head Office personnel. - Exhibit exceptional communication, interpersonal, andorganisational skills, with the ability to prioritiseeffectively. - Display strong problem-solving abilities, sound judgment,and initiative, even under time pressure. - Hold a current Working with Children card and a NationallyCoordinated Criminal History Check as required by WA educationstandards.
