The Role Centacare offers a fixedterm, parttime (maternity cover) opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner to join our impactful SPRING team. In this role, you will provide crucial support to young people aged 1118 who are experiencing suicidal distress, selfharm behaviours, or other mental health challenges. This meaningful parttime position involves working outside of traditional hours, including weekends, with a rotating roster. Shifts will not extend beyond 8pm. Parttime fixedterm opportunity until 31December2026 What you need to bring Essential - Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or related field. - Proven experience working alongside vulnerable youth and their networks facing barriers to support. - Proven experience delivering a service compassionately to people experiencing distress. - Proven experience working effectively in collaboration with stakeholders. - Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check. - Valid Drivers Licence. Desirable - Experience working in crisis spaces. - Experience working with families with complex needs. - Understanding of the referral pathways and how to navigate systems delivering services for mental health and broader social issues.
