Job Description - Senior and Principal Environmental Consultants (DAR005R) Management Level: Individual Contributor.Shape the future of environmental approvals in Northern AustraliaWorley is expanding its Environmental Consulting and Approvals capability in the Northern Territory and is seeking Expressions of Interest from Senior and Principal Environmental Consultants to join our growing Darwinbased team.With a strong and expanding pipeline of work across oil and gas, mining, and major infrastructure, this opportunity offers a critical role in supporting clients to navigate complex environmental and regulatory challenges across northern Australia.Whether you are already based in the Northern Territory or considering relocation from another Australian state, we welcome the opportunity to connect.What youll be doingIn these seniorlevel roles, you will be responsible for delivering highquality environmental outcomes while building trusted client relationships. Responsibilities may include:Leading and delivering environmental approvals and consulting projectsProviding technical expertise across environmental approvals, environmental management and/or environmental engineeringCollaborating with multidisciplinary Worley and client teams to develop practical, tailored project solutionsManaging relationships with clients, regulators and key stakeholdersPreparing tender documentation and supporting business development activitiesWhat youll bringTo be successful, you will bring a strong consulting background and the ability to operate confidently at Senior or Principal level, including:Proven experience in environmental consulting and approvals, ideally within energy, resources or major infrastructureStrategic thinking with the ability to develop tailored environmental solutionsStrong knowledge of Northern Territory and broader Australian environmental legislationDemonstrated experience in project delivery and technical leadershipA collaborative approach with strong written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to be based in Darwin (relocation support available for eligible Australian citizens)Desired skills and Northern Territory approvals experienceExperience in the following areas will be highly regarded.Regulatory frameworks and approvalsIn-depth knowledge of Northern Territory and Commonwealth approvals frameworks, including the Environmental Assessment Act 1982 (NT) and the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC)Experience with NT EPA environmental impact assessment processes, including Notice of Intent (NOI), Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and Public Environmental Report (PER)Documentation and project deliveryPreparation and management of Environmental Impact StatementsDevelopment of Environmental Management Plans, including EMP, CEMP and OEMPPreparation of Mining Management PlansOil and gas environmental approvals and referral documentation, including Environment Plans and Offshore Project ProposalsStakeholder and field experienceRegulatory engagement with NT EPA, DCCEEW, DEPWS and other approval authoritiesExperience working in remote and regional environments, including fieldbased approvals supportUnderstanding of land access requirements and stakeholder consultation in the Northern TerritoryStrong report writing, project management and clientfacing capabilitiesWhy WorleyAt Worley, you will be part of a global professional services company committed to delivering sustainable change.
