The values that underpin our company culture are the drivers of our ongoing success:AgileSolution focusedRespect for all peopleIntegrity in the way we operateResponsibilitiesLegal Advisory & ContractingProvide timely, pragmatic and commercially-focused legal advice to the business across a broad range of matters.Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including vendor, customer and partner agreements, reseller and distribution agreements, service agreements, NDAs and other commercial contracts.Independently lead contract negotiations with external counterparties and confidently advocate for the Companys legal and commercial position.Identify legal risks, conflicts and inconsistencies in proposed transactions and provide clear recommendations to mitigate risk.Support contract renewals, amendments and variations in collaboration with relevant business units.Stakeholder EngagementLiaise confidently and effectively with internal stakeholders across the business, including senior management, to understand commercial objectives and translate them into practical legal outcomes.Act as a trusted legal advisor to internal teams, balancing legal risk with commercial outcomes.Engage directly with external lawyers, consultants and counterparties as required.Provide mentorship, guidance and oversight to the two Paralegals, including reviewing their work to ensure accuracy, consistency and alignment with the Companys legal positions.Work collaboratively with the Paralegals to manage workflow, prioritisation and escalation of matters.Provide ongoing coaching and knowledge sharing to support the development of junior team members.Compliance & RiskAssist with legal compliance matters as required, including supporting internal policies, procedures and governance frameworks.Contribute to the identification, assessment and management of legal and contractual risk across the business.General & Ad HocManage and respond to assigned legal matters and ad hoc requests from time to time.Assist with the management of legal inboxes or workflows, as required.Perform other duties reasonably required to meet the needs of the business.QualificationsBachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) with current practising certificate.Prior experience working in an in-house legal role.Strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.Ability to work autonomously and manage matters end-to-end with minimal supervision.Confidence in leading meetings and negotiations independently.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and practically.High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced commercial environment.Experience mentoring or supervising junior legal staff.Experience in a technology, distribution or commercial B2B environment.A highly competitive salary package depending upon experienceHybrid and sustainable working environmentStaff only on-site gym & weekly corporate fitness classesA selection of freshly prepared lunch options provided dailyFree on-site parking and electric parking stationsA relaxed, modern office setting with smart casual dressAccess to discounted banking, superannuation, and health and wellbeing offers via our corporate partnersCompany paid parental leave schemeEmployee Assistance ProgramOn site school holiday program for children of Dicker Data staffOnly those with the legal right to work in Australia may apply for this position.Only short-listed candidates will be contacted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
