About the role As the Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing a high-quality, inclusive curriculum that reflects the interests, strengths, and needs of all children. Working collaboratively with the team, you will provide strong support for childrens developmental needs and foster positive relationships with families and professionals. You will also assist the Nominated Supervisor in a 2IC (Second-in-Charge) capacity, contributing to leadership, mentoring, and day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities Assist the Nominated Supervisor in Developing and implementing a responsive, play based curriculum aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF). Use intentional teaching practices to extend childrens learning based on their emerging interests, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. Work collaboratively and respectfully as part of a dynamic team, contributing to a positive workplace culture. Support the Nominated Supervisor with leadership tasks, including guiding educational practice, mentoring educators, and contributing to the services Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). Partner with families through ongoing communication, collaboration, and respect for their role in their childs learning journey. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures. This is a Full-time Permanent role working 76 hours per fortnight. To be considered you will have: An Early Childhood Teaching approved qualification (i.e. Bachelor of Teaching or Education) Teacher Accreditation - NESA A current First Aid Certificate approved by ACECQA that includes applying first aid, emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis Identify & Respond to Children at Risk of Harm Certificate A valid Working with Children Check A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a childcare environment Sound, practical working knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and documenting childrens learning The motivation and ability to inspire and maintain a positive learning culture within the centre WORKING WITH CHILDREN''S CLEARANCE SCECS is a Child Safe Organisation dedicated to the Protection of every child in our care.
