Overview Tree Worker (Trades Assistant) role supporting tree and vegetation management for the Central Coast Council in NSW. This is a permanent full-time position in a local outdoor setting, contributing to safety and the enhancement of reserves and natural areas. Responsibilities Engage in hands-on tree and vegetation management across the Central Coast Operate required equipment safely and in accordance with policies and procedures Contribute to customer service and public-facing activities to create value for the community Qualifications A current MR (Medium Rigid) Drivers Licence A current Traffic Controller licence A current Implement Traffic Control Plans licence A current Chainsaw - Trim & cross cut felled trees licence A current First Aid certificate A current Construction General Induction Card (NSW SafeWork) or equivalent Experience using hand tools and minor plant Ability to work in a team and provide quality customer service Extensive experience in general tree maintenance using chainsaws, chipper, gardening, and parks maintenance Other Information Location: Central Coast Council, Long Jetty Depot Salary: up to $61,000 per year with progression up to $70,700 per year plus 12% superannuation and weekly allowance Benefits: 9-day fortnight, permanent full-time role, access to development opportunities Central Coast Council is committed to equal employment opportunity, diversity and respect in the workplace.
