Nurse Level 6 - Remuneration Package Range $175,979 - $182,947 (including salary $149,765 - $157,329) Medical Day Stay Unit Katherine One full time vacancy is available, either ongoing or fixed for 2 years Lead oncology services and make a real impact in regional healthcare We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Manager (Oncology) to lead the Medical Day Stay Unit at Katherine Hospital. This is a unique opportunity to take on a senior leadership role in regional cancer care, coordinating treatment and improving outcomes for patients across the Big Rivers Region. About the Role In this key leadership position, you will: Lead and manage the Medical Day Stay Unit (MDSU) and oncology service delivery Coordinate and facilitate chemotherapy treatment plans in partnership with treating oncologists Oversee Patient Assistance Travel Services (PATS) coordination for remote and regional patients Provide a recognised clinical leadership reference point for multidisciplinary teams Drive service planning, quality improvement and performance outcomes Manage human, financial and material resources to ensure sustainable service delivery Support and mentor staff, building capability in oncology nursing practice You will work closely with specialists, including oncologists from Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre, to ensure safe, effective and patientcentred care. About You To be successful, you will bring: Minimum of 6 years nursing experience, including high acuity settings At least 2 years experience in chemotherapy administration Demonstrated competence in PORT access Strong leadership capability with experience in managing teams and driving change Proven ability to analyse service performance and implement improvements A commitment to delivering culturally safe care Postgraduate qualifications or working towards them in the relevant specialty Why Katherine?
