Overview The Specialist Support Coordinator / Support Coordinator works with participants to build capacity so they can make informed decisions about the supports in their NDIS plans, including Mainstream, Community, Informal, and funded supports. The role connects participants with an NDIS plan to a range of supports aligned with their goals to enable them to live a full, meaningful life. Responsibilities Answering incoming calls; taking messages and redirecting calls as required Dealing with email enquiries Diary management and arranging appointments, booking meeting rooms and conference facilities General office management such as ordering stationary Organising travel and accommodation for staff and customers Arranging both internal and external events Possibly maintaining the company social media accounts Providing administration support to Sales Reps, Property Managers and Senior Management Must have 3 years minimum experience in a similar role working in the NDIS sector Must have extensive experience using Brevity NDIS Software or Visicase or similar Must have experience in PRODA registrations and accessing NDIA/NDIS portals, service bookings, Myplace, Myportal and Quality Safety Commission Must be an Administrator who is a multi-task extraordinaire, adaptable to the needs of the organisation and work across Recruitment to Onboarding/Probity and Rostering support Ability to communicate in a confident and clear manner with internal and external stakeholders; articulate with exceptional written and verbal communication, analytical & problem-solving skills Exceptional analytical & problem-solving skills A strong and pro-active work ethic combined with a dedicated attitude Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) Unrestricted working entitlements in Australia Provide quality direct support to participants in line with their support needs, the program they are accessing, and all support plans including the Individual Plan Enhancing daily living skills and social & community participation Household tasks and development of participants capacities Community support including shopping, walks, outdoor activities, and organised outings Provide transport using company-owned or personal vehicle Create case notes to improve services to participants Daily tasks including school drop-off and pick up, collection of groceries, and assistance with daily tasks Current First Aid and CPR certificate Current unrestricted Drivers License and comprehensive car insurance, plus own reliable transport Experience and ability to develop positive relationships with participants and support their Individual Personal Plan Valid NDIS Orientation and COVID-19 Infection and Control Certificates of Completion Ability to maintain participant confidentiality and privacy Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work before and after school hours Yellow Card, Police Check and Blue Card Training in mental health, community services, autism spectrum disorder, or disability services is desirable but not essential Qualifications & Selection Criteria Satisfactory pre-employment screening checks are required for the role including DCSI checks: Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Referee check Relevant tertiary qualifications with a minimum of 1 year relevant experience in case management, support coordination or disability experience preferred; social work degree or recognised prior experience highly recommended Excellent practical and theoretical knowledge of people with disabilities and complex care needs, including risk assessments and development of risk mitigation plans Demonstrated knowledge of NDIS plans, funding and implementation, NDIS Act 2013 and NDIS Rules 2013, and adherence to NDIS Practice Standards Understanding of NDIS Pricing Arrangements and budget flexibility within an NDIS plan Demonstrated ability to work in a client-focused environment to build client capacity and provide choice and control in NDIS plans Local knowledge of service providers and ability to source services to meet client needs Other Role Details Location: NSW Metropolis region and surrounds; willingness to travel to meet participants and providers Mandated vaccination may be a condition of employment where required Legal/Compliance Current NSW LR (or higher) driving licence; able to drive a manual vehicle; proven safe driving record Ability to be authorised as a NSW bus driver (including medical considerations) Knowledge of Inner West Sydney geography Time management, basic computer skills and basic report writing Current first aid certificate (including CARDIOpulmonary resuscitation or updated competency) Satisfactory completion of police checks (National Police Certificate), Working with Children, NDIS Worker Permit and RMS Permit All Connect employees must be fully vaccinated against Covid (including a third dose) as a mandatory condition of employment Location 1/18 Loyalty Road North Rocks New South Wales 2151 #J-18808-Ljbffr
