Overview The Manly Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice (AYAH) provides specialised support to adolescents and young adults with a lifelimiting illness in Australias first dedicated 8bed healthcare facility offering respite care, symptom management and endoflife care. The care provided is holistic, compassionate, and culturally appropriate, delivered by an empowered multidisciplinary workforce working in partnership with patients and their families. Where you''ll be working The Manly Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice (AYAH), located in Manly, provides a supportive and compassionate environment for young people with lifelimiting illnesses. Working at AYAH involves collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patientcentred care. The MDT consists of doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and support staff to address the complex needs of adolescents and young adults. The role requires strong teamwork, effective communication, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families. What You''ll Be Doing In this flexible, parttime role at the Manly Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice (AYAH), you will deliver specialist clinical psychology services to patients, including comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, consultation, feedback, reporting, and ongoing review. You will play a key role in providing a highquality, evidencebased psychology service aimed at enhancing the health, wellbeing, and overall experience of adolescents and young adults in care. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with colleagues to support holistic, patientcentred outcomes. Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist with a Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, relevant clinical area in psychology, and postgraduate experience. Relevant experience working in a palliative care setting and providing psychological assessment for diagnostic and treatment purposes within a multidisciplinary team. Experience working with adolescents and young adults is desirable. Demonstrated competence in evidencebased psychological treatments delivered on an individual and/or group basis, including the inclusion of family members as appropriate. Demonstrated ability to contribute to the teaching and learning capacity of the team, including student supervision and training, and quality improvement. Need more information?
