Grade 2, base salary ($103,089 - $116,969), plus employers contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. Location: Sydney CBD. Ongoing Fulltime (35 hours per week). Your role The Systems Librarian contributes to the general operations and library services and is responsible for the management and ongoing development of the librarys technology infrastructure to ensure efficient access to resources and services. The role will also support strategic improvements through data analysis, vendor liaison and planning. What Youll Do Manage the configuration, maintenance, upgrading and implementation of library technologies, systems, databases and ebooks, and associated platforms to facilitate access to library resources and ensure systems are optimised to meet library needs. Manage authentication solutions such as IP and SSO (SAML 2.0). Contribute to the administration and optimisation of the library management system (SirsiDynix), including coordination with consortium partners, system upgrades, liaising with the vendor and attendance at user forums and consortium meetings. Provide support and advice, troubleshoot and keep staff informed of progress in problem resolution, document changes, maintain documentation, organise demonstrations of new products. Coordinate with ICT vendors and support services to resolve technical issues and implement system updates. Coordinate the collection and reporting of statistics related to the use of electronic resources. Liaise with departmental business partners in the technology sphere and proactively advocate library business requirements. Assist the Client Services team with support for library apps on iPads for judicial officers to enable seamless access to online resources. Provide direction, manage and implement projects in a teambased technological environment. What Were Looking For Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia. Qualifications acceptable for librarian or information specialist membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), or tertiary qualifications and experience deemed by the Secretary or the Public Service Commission to be equivalent, meeting the minimum standard of skill and knowledge inherent in the ALIA standard. Substantial experience in implementing and managing digital and technology services in a library. Significant knowledge of the principles and standards underlying major library operations. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a demonstrated ability to investigate and make informed and evidencebased decisions regarding complex issues. Highly developed organisational and project management skills to balance and prioritise the competing demands of multiple tasks, concurrent projects, and workload to deliver services within deadlines. Welldeveloped communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on understanding business requirements, communicating technical concepts to nontechnical audiences, writing technical documentation, and liaising with staff and software vendors.
