Position OverviewCalian is currently hiring a Course Training Director to support the training serial of Mobile Support Equipment Operator (MSE OP) Qualification Level 3 Reserve Force at Canadian Forces Base Petawawa, ON. The training serial will be from June 1st, 2025, to August 31st, 2025.ResponsibilitiesAssist with instructional material development and provide input and detailed suggestions for changes and improvements to: specific course material, any or all aspects of the training program, and any aspects of course and personnel administrationEnsure delivery of phone messages and mail to studentsProvide ongoing after-action information such as report on incidences of what went right and wrong with the training (i.e. vehicle breakdowns, student absences/conduct, number of students who pass/fail, problems with access to required roads, problems related to weather) to the Program Coordinator for performance measurementEnsure that Contractor-supplied instructors perform their tasks in a professional mannerMaintain knowledge of all authorized TPAssemble and prepare all suitable teaching materials and training aidsMaintain class discipline and refer problem individuals to appropriate CSS Trg Coy Contact or military authority as requiredEnsure instruction is delivered in accordance with doctrine, lesson plans, techniques andprocedures or guidance from appropriate DND personnelEnsure all training is delivered as per the applicable Training Plan. This will require working in adverse weather conditions and during day and night operationsEvaluate, test and re-test each military student as requiredEnsure Student Record Books are maintained by instructorsParticipate in Progress Review Boards upon requestPrepare, verify, discuss, sign and present course reports to studentsCoordinate course activities with the CSS Trg Coy Contact when required. If problems arise that cant be solved at the Unit level, contact the MSE OP QL3 Program Coordinator Office for resolutionConduct post-course wrap-up sessions, including the completion of course and studentdocumentation, analysis of course critiques and the preparation of suggestions forimprovements to the TP, advice to the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and observations on the QSBrief and ensure that students understand and respect all aspects of SMP vehicle safetyprocedures. Monitor students during training to ensure safety procedure compliance so as to prevent personnel injury and equipment damageAdminister written tests and conduct performance checks as requiredEnsure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained, cleaned and returned as per CSS Trg Coy Standard Operating ProceduresQualificationsDriver Trainer (J) and Driver Examiner (K) on LSVW (AIPN)/ LUVW MilCOTS (AJUN), MSVS (AJSJ)Minimum of four (4) years supervisory experienceAdditional RequirementsBe eligible to obtain a Reliability clearance
