We are seeking a house manager (family helper) to support our family in Kitsilano. We are a professional couple with 3 older kids (ages 9, 9, and 13) and a dog... its a lot! We are seeking regular help before school (7:30 a.m.- 9:30 a.m.) and after school (4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.) with some flexibility in hours. Im open to two separate roles ( mornings only or afternoons only), but it would be amazing if someone wanted a split shift. Pay is $25/hr with some flexibility. Mornings: Mon-Thurs ~7:30 to 9:30am (8 hours/week) Basic responsibilities: Help the kids with breakfast and lunch Walk the dog Light housework: dishes, laundry, tidying up Afternoons: Mon-Thurs ~4:00 or 4:30 to7:00 pm (10-12 hours/week) Basic responsibilities: Running errands (e.g., picking up groceries) Walking our dog Cooking dinner (simple, healthy, vegetarian recipes) Light housework: laundry, dishes, tidying up Driving kids to activities (most are nearby) Bonus: able to help kids with homework Requirements: Excellent communication skills (fluent English) Good with kids and dogs Comfortable in the kitchen - you dont need to be a chef but must be able to prepare simple breakfasts and lunches Organized, efficient, open to learning new things, with a positive attitude Strong references Note: Driving is required in afternoons, but not mornings. Our car will be available. *If you are open to occasional overnights, that would be ideal (1-3 nights per month). We would like a 1-year commitment and can be flexible with time off (especially with notice). Our family takes 1-2 weeks off at Christmas, 1 week in March, and 2 weeks in the summer.
