Our Ottawa based client is looking for a Systems Administrator - Virtual Infrastructure, for a long term HYBRID Contract. The successful candidate must currently posses a valid Government of Canada Security Clearance and the SECRET level. The candidate must demonstrate experience in VMware environments, infrastructure automation, and scripting to support a large-scale, multi-tiered production environment. The ideal candidate will bring both independent and collaborative experience in designing and supporting infrastructure-as-code solutions in a 24/7/365 setting.Key Responsibilities:Manage and support VMware vSphere 8.x, including VSAN, NSX-T, SRM, and EMC RP4VMWork with VMware vRealize/Aria Orchestration & Automation, Ansible Tower, and Azure DevOpsDevelop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languagesDeploy and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and AzureProvide system administration support, especially with VxRail, VSAN, and Dell PowerEdge infrastructureParticipate in technical decision-making and ensure stability in a high-availability, large-scale environmentWork independently or collaboratively in cross-functional teamsRequired Qualifications & Skills:5+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere 8.x and associated technologiesProven experience scripting and developing automation/orchestration solutionsDemonstrated expertise in system administration and infrastructure managementExperience supporting enterprise environments with 24/7/365 uptime requirementsStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAdditional Qualifications (Assets):ITIL, TOGAF, or Agile certifications
