Health and Safety Coordinator Ottawa/KingstonSoubliere Constructors is a rapidly growing, reputable interior systems contractor based in Ottawa, delivering high-quality projects across Eastern Ontario. Known for our commitment to excellence and safety, we offer a dynamic work environment for professionals looking to make an impact.Primary Responsibilities:Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all site activities adhere to Ontarios health and safety regulations and company policies.Risk Assessments: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to safe work practices.Safety Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.Training and Mentorship: Lead safety training sessions, providing mentorship to staff on safety protocols and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.Collaboration with Site Teams: Work closely with superintendents and site teams to promote a proactive approach to health and safety management.Job Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety, particularly within the construction industry.Strong understanding of Ontarios health and safety regulations and best practices.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and promote safety culture.Education and Certifications:High School Diploma or equivalent, plus recognized safety certifications (e.g., Certificate of Recognition (COR), First Aid, WHMIS).Clean Driver's AbstractBenefits:Extended health, dental and vision after probationary periodCompany-provided cell phone and iPadTwo weeks vacationJob Type: Permanent, Full-time Work Location: Ottawa/Kingston, ON must reliably commute between both locations.
