In this role, the successful applicant will work closely with multiple departments to ensure material data, BOMs, and production schedules are accurate and aligned with project milestones. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain accurate material master data and Bill of Materials (BOM) structures in ARAS and IFS to support production planning and procurement activitiesTranslate build strategies, such as block breakdowns, erection sequences, and test strategies, into detailed material structures and work packagesCoordinate with engineering, supply chain, subcontractors, and production teams to ensure materials align with schedules, budgets, and production methodsSchedule and manage timely input of material data aligned with key project milestones and program deliverablesGenerate material demand forecasts and support the development of material ordering schedules to meet design and in-yard equipment deadlinesCommunicate internally across departments and externally with suppliers, subcontractors, and industry peers to implement best practices in material planningQualificationsBachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience with MRP certification will be consideredMinimum of 1 year of experience in material planning within an engineering or manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., IFS) in a large-scale production settingExperience interpreting schedules from planning software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and outputs from CAD/CAM tools (ShipConstructor preferred)Understanding of shipbuilding processes and the integration of engineering, procurement, and production operationsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaborativelyPay Rate: $37-43/hourPlease note that the posted pay range for this role may vary based on seniority, qualifications, or prior experience.
