We are currently seeking a Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist with deep expertise and a strategic mindset to lead the development of advanced groundwater solutions in open pit mining environments. PERKS AND BENEFITS:Competitive Compensation Principal Hydrogeologist: $150,000 $200,000 base salary + bonus Senior Hydrogeologist: $120,000 $150,000 base salary + bonusFlexible Work Model: Hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)Career Growth: Access to world-class mentorship, professional development programs, and leadership opportunitiesEnd-to-End Project Ownership: See the full lifecycle of major projectsfrom early design to successful implementation WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Designing and optimizing dewatering systems and depressurization strategies for active and planned open-pit minesAnalyzing hydrogeological data from monitoring wells, test pits, and boreholes to support design and decision-makingLeading groundwater investigations for regulatory compliance, permitting, and environmental risk mitigationSupervising field activities including well installations, borehole logging, pumping tests, and groundwater samplingUsing advanced 3D modelling tools (MODFLOW, FeFlow, GoldSim) for flow and contaminant transport simulationsCollaborating on multi-disciplinary projects with geotechnical, environmental, and mining professionals WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:Bachelor's or advanced degree in geological engineering, geoscience, or a related discipline with a hydrogeology focusProfessional designation (P.Eng. or P.Geo.)10+ years of relevant experience in mining and hydrogeologyStrong grasp of groundwater modelling tools: MODFLOW and AquiferTest required; FeFlow and GoldSim are strong assetsProficiency with GIS platforms (ArcGIS/QGIS) and Microsoft tools (Excel, Access)Valid Canadian driver's license and a willingness to travel to remote project sites within BC ABOUT US:TPD is a leading workforce solutions provider with a mission to help individuals succeed by providing access to opportunities in jobs, careers, and professional development.
