In this role, you'll play a key part in the design and production lifecycle by creating precise 3D models and production drawings that meet the highest industry standards. Responsibilities:Develop discipline-specific 3D models and generate manufacturing information (MI) for all stages of constructionProduce accurate and efficient production drawings in alignment with VSYs standards and processesCollaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve technical design issues and support integration decisionsSupport production by providing technical guidance and ensuring design intent is met on the shop floorApply lessons learned to improve future design processes and maintain consistency across projectsMonitor project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure work is completed on time and within scopeQualifications:Associate degree or diploma in design (or related field), or equivalent combination of education and experience35 years of experience in detailed design within manufacturing or heavy industry, preferably in shipbuildingProficient in Cadmatic Hull; familiarity with Rhino, NavisWorks, and e-Share is a strong assetSolid understanding of marine structural design and production best practicesExcellent communication and technical writing skills, with the ability to document and present complex information clearlyStrong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-changing environmentPay Rate: $38-44/hourPlease note that the posted pay range for this role may vary based on seniority, qualifications, or prior experience.
