What were looking for: We are growing our team of energetic, dedicated employees and are currently recruiting for the position of Carpenter. The successful candidate must be able to construct, install, and repair structural wood and/or related materials in an accurate and safe manner. We will not risk safety under any circumstances Always promoting a collaborative, team attitude in all that we do Required Skills and Attributes: Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials (wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, etc.) using hand tools, power tools, and machinery Installing frameworks, such as walls, floors, doorframes, and roof systems Fitting and installing trim, windows, doors, staircases, molding, and hardware Building foundations, laying subflooring, and erecting structures Inspecting and repairing damaged frameworks or fixtures A Team Attitude - ability to follow directions and take guidance Strong Safety Acumen - being safety conscious is a must, and adherence to all Health & Safety Policies and Procedures is mandatory Strong Communication Skills - you will be working closely with the Site Superintendent, Foreman, Lead Hands, and other team members Ability to read blueprints and drawings and accurately interpret complete calculations Flexibility - must be able to work out of town as required Your own vehicle - must have a reliable means of transportation Education: Red Seal Journey Person or equivalent is preferred; relevant experience and related tickets will be considered What we offer: Competitive wages Comprehensive benefits program Group RRSP plan Opportunities for growth and development To be a part of one of the most dynamic companies in the industry The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is organized, able to multi-task well, and has effective time management skills.
