Reporting to the HSE Manager, the HSE Advisor is responsible for providing support to operations, and guiding staff with respect to the company and client safety practices, policies, procedures, and legislation obligations. Accountabilities:Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditionsAssist with audit process and requirementsWork with management and staff on identifying hazardsEncourage and promote safe work cultureKnowledge and implementation of required reporting procedures relating to OH&S Legislation and WCB Regulations as well as clients proceduresAid with internal HSE training and mentorshipProcess, co-ordinate and maintain employee HSE recordsParticipate in toolbox meetings, safety meetings, client HSE meetings, emergency response planning, and field inspectionsPrepare and present HSE meeting topicsAssist with the development of Job Hazard AssessmentMaintain and report all site HSE documentation as requiredMaintain consistent & professional decisiveness, attendance, and punctualityProvide HSE on call support as requiredAll other duties as requiredRequirements and Competencies:NCSO requiredIn depth knowledge of the oilfield industry an assetCRSP designation considered an assetPost secondary education in related field an assetTickets required: CSO, or CSTS and OSSAStandard First Aid, H2S Alive, and WHMIS an assetValid class 5 license with clean Drivers AbstractMinimum of 5 years experience in a construction and mining environmentExcellent communication and organizational skills, proficient computer skillsSelf-motivated, results orientatedStrong interpersonal skillsAdaptable, and energeticStrong writing capabilitiesEffective presentation skillsExperience with Microsoft Office requiredSchedule:7 days on, 7 days off, 12 hours per day.
