Director of Engineering CyberQP is a rapidly growing venture backed Software as a Service (SAAS) provider of Helpdesk Security Automation and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions for the Managed IT Services (MSP) industry. QDesk empowers help desks by minimizing costly password reset tickets, providing technicians with tools to resolve tickets faster and eliminating social engineering attacks. Meanwhile, QGuard proactively secures MSP sensitive privileged accounts from both external and internal threats and saves time and money with automation. CyberQP HQ is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. Director of Engineering is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire engineering team within the organization. The ideal candidate will expand their teams and manage projects from inception to completion. This role can be remote or hybrid and reports to the CEO. Drive the execution of our projects and roadmaps. Own large projects that impact the entire CyberQP community. Facilitate technical design and architecture improvements. Review and recommend technical decisions. Partner with product owners to prioritize, plan, and monitor project progress. Recruit top engineering talent to strengthen our teams. Ensure adherence to security protocols to safeguard company assets. Drive the execution of our projects and roadmaps. Oversee the engineering budget, making strategic decisions on resource allocation to maximize ROI. Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with third-party vendors and tools that enhance development efficiency. Contribute to the strategic direction of the company, ensuring the engineering roadmap aligns with business objectives. S. degree in Computer Science or related technical field. ~ Minimum of 7 years managing software engineering teams within a SaaS environment using Agile methodologies ~12+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in startups or fast-paced environments. ~ Proven leadership with strong influence, team-building, and conflict resolution capabilities, with experience in scaling teams. ~ Expertise in best practices and software design principles. ~ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. ~ Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies. ~ Experience with web application development and frameworks. ~ Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. ~ Understanding of business operations, market dynamics, and the ability to align technical strategies with business goals.
