An established and award-winning Calgary based real estate group is seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Development and Construction to lead and execute development, construction, and asset management initiatives across a diverse portfolio, including industrial, hospitality, retail, and office properties.This senior leadership role will be responsible for overseeing major development and construction projects from concept to completion, portfolio-wide asset planning, performance monitoring, leasing strategies, and alignment with long-term organizational goals. The position also plays a key role in business development, capital planning, stakeholder relations, and ESG initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Lead development and construction efforts, including feasibility, design, and execution.Oversee asset management, leasing, and strategic planning across the portfolio.Manage relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, and external partners.Support business growth through acquisitions, partnerships, and new project opportunities.Ensure regulatory compliance, financial oversight, and alignment with ESG standards.Mentor a high-performing team and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.Qualifications:1015 years of progressive leadership experience in real estate development and construction.Proven track record of managing large-scale projects in industrial and/or hospitality sectors.Strong financial acumen, including capital structuring and ROI analysis.Expertise in regulatory compliance, construction best practices, and risk management.Bachelors degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or Masters preferred).Familiarity with Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite; strong communication and leadership skills required.This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team with a reputation for excellence and long-term vision.Mikelle Search Group would like to thank all applicants for their expressed interest however, only those candidates identified for interview will be contacted.
