Looking for an O365 and Azure Admin for a client-company in Ottawa. The ideal candidate is bilingual or French-speaking , and has expertise in implementing, installing, and administering Microsoft cloud solutions. The candidate knowledge spans the complete Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Azure cloud services, with strengths in security implementation, identity management, and infrastructure optimization. Duration: 6 mo contract (possible extension) Location: Ottawa (Fairhaven/ Canadian Forces Base area) Preference is locale to Ottawa but open to fully Remote Must-Haves: 5+ years of relevant experience with Office 365 and Azure technologies across multiple enterprise environments Office 365 Suite Administration: Implemented and managed complete Office 365 tenant configurations for organizations with 500+ users, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and related productivity applications, Purview, Fabric, etc. Designed and executed migration strategies from on-premises Exchange to Exchange Online with minimal disruption to business operations. Established comprehensive governance frameworks for SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business, ensuring proper permission structures and content management policies. Configured and maintained Microsoft Teams environments, including channel structures, security policies, and integration with other Microsoft services. Administered Microsoft 365 security features including Advanced Threat Protection, Data Loss Prevention, and message encryption services Azure Cloud Services Management: Implemented and managed Azure Active Directory environments, including hybrid identity solutions with seamless synchronization between on-premises Active Directory and Azure AD1. Designed and deployed Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution according to organizational requirements. Configured and maintained Azure virtual networks, including network security groups, VPN connections, and Express Route implementations. Implemented Azure backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity. Established security frameworks using Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Azure Policy to maintain compliance standards Security Implementation and Management: I mplemented multi-factor authentication across organizational environments to enhance security posture. Designed and deployed Conditional Access policies to ensure appropriate access controls based on user identity, location, and device status. Configured Azure Information Protection for sensitive data classification and protection. Implemented security monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
