HedgeLegal has extensive experience negotiating a wide array of trading documentation including Prime Brokerage, Term Commitment/Lock-Up, ISDA, Uncleared Margin Rules Implementation, Equity Master Confirmation Agreements, Futures Clearing, OTC Clearing, Repo, MSFTAs, and Custodial arrangements.Role DescriptionThe Associate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts. Related tasks will be reviewing contracts and validating or inputting terms into a database.QualificationsQuebec Bar requiredMust live in QuebecIn first or second year as a lawyerNY Bar is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and oral communication skills in EnglishAbility to work both independently and in a team settingExperience in legal research and writingBackground in hedge funds, securities law or corporate finance is a plusProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe AcrobatBachelor's degree in Law
