POSITION OVERVIEWThe Surety Bond Services Specialist will work alongside an experienced team of surety professionals in providing support on a portfolio of high-quality construction surety business. This is a unique opportunity to be a part o part of an elite group of insurance and surety professionals in a mutually supportive, successful, and rewarding family environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:Accurately prepare surety bonds as requested through our customized bond management systemProvide timely turn around for requests and inquiries from our clientsCommunicate with underwriters and clients to confirm request details, obtain approvals, and determine premiumsInterpret construction tender packages to verify certain request detailsInvoicing and record keeping in EPICCollaborate with other members of the Bond Team toidentify opportunities for process improvementBe a positive and supportive team member that contributes to our cultureREQUIREMENTS:Proficiency with MS Office and aptitude for IT related learning1 year of Surety experience is preferred1 year of experience in the insurance industry(insurer or broker) is preferredRIBO and ACSB designations are assets (support for obtaining those licenses will be provided if desired)A strong communicator, both written and oralSense of ownership and attention to detailWorks well both in a group environment and autonomouslyWillingness to learn, be challenged to grow and collaborate with team membersPetrela Winter & Associates is actively committed to support diversity, equity, and inclusion.
