POSITION OVERVIEW The Surety Bond Services Specialist will work alongside an experienced team of surety professionals in providing support on a portfolio of high-quality construction surety business. Candidates who are highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about client service excellence and teamwork are well-suited for this role. RESPONSIBILITIES: Accurately prepare surety bonds as requested through our customized bond management system Provide timely turn around for requests and inquiries from our clients Communicate with underwriters and clients to confirm request details, obtain approvals, and determine premiums Interpret construction tender packages to verify certain request details Invoicing and record keeping in EPIC Collaborate with other members of the Bond Team to identify opportunities for process improvement Be a positive and supportive team member that contributes to our culture REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency with MS Office and aptitude for IT related learning 1 year of Surety experience is preferred 1 year of experience in the insurance industry(insurer or broker) is preferred RIBO and ACSB designations are assets (support for obtaining those licenses will be provided if desired) A strong communicator, both written and oral Sense of ownership and attention to detail Works well both in a group environment and autonomously Willingness to learn, be challenged to grow and collaborate with team members Petrela Winter & Associates is actively committed to support diversity, equity, and inclusion.
