Job Description Case Manager, Disability Claims Based Downtown Toronto - Hybrid Role A boutique specialist Disability Insurer Major Responsibilities Determine eligibility for disability in accordance with contract provisions Frequently communicate with claimants who are on disability and drive discussions with a focus on ability and return to work Identify creative solutions to increase the potential of accommodations, working with the employee, employer and treatment provider(s) Identify early opportunities for intervention and resources available to accelerate recovery Work with team members and the companys leaders to identify opportunities and solutions for process improvements and enhancements Maintain confidentiality within all privacy guidelines Create and execute dynamic Case Management plans that are proactive and support an early and safe return to work Work with the litigation and appeals team to assist in immediate resolution The Right Fit for The Role You have a passion for Employee Health and Disability Claims Management You are a seasoned case manager with knowledge in group insurance contracts and confident in the interpretation and delivery of contractual provisions You are relationship focused, you understand the importance of building relationships with our customers and creating a positive experience You love working with a team, being collaborative and sharing your ideas You enjoy knowing that everything you do has a direct and measurable impact on the organization The idea of helping build something is exciting to you Key Attributes Strong written and verbal communication skills Dedication to continuously wanting to improve the client experience Comfortable in having sensitive conversations with claimants while setting expectations Expert knowledge of Disability Management acquired through a minimum of 2-3 years of experience Post secondary education in Disability Management, Health and Safety or Insurance is an asset French language capabilities are an asset The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment in a rapidly evolving organization DGA Careers has been proudly serving the Canadian insurance industry for over 30 years, specializing in providing insurance recruiting services to major insurers, insurance brokerage firms and independent adjusting firms.
