Bilingual Field Service Technician Full-time, Permanent Location: REMOTE - Quebec City - candidate must live in the territory Or at the most: 45 minutes outside of the TerritoryTravel- Spending about 90% of time on the road and going home. No overnight. Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am 4:00 pm + Overtime Base salary: Up to 90K + Overtime & Commissions Company information:Our client is the leading supplier of equipment, systems and service in the food industry, Offering the broadest line of equipment including cooking, food preparation, refrigeration, bakery systems, ware washing and waste systems, and weighing, wrapping and labeling systems.Scope of Position:This position interfaces with other Service Technicians, Service Area Managers, Regional Service Manager, Parts Manager and Parts Department staff, Service Dispatchers, Service Data Entry staff and various Branch Sales and Service personnel in the resolution of equipment installations, equipment problems, Customer Relations and at times, Service Administration problems.Perks:Competitive payFull benefits plan (Dental/Vision) after 1 monthCompetitive Group Insurance Benefit PlansCompany vehicle providedWellness programScholarship programCompany Pension Plan/ with Company MatchSTD/LTD BenefitsFamily environmentCompany provides laptop computer, cell phone, gas and mileageTraining reimbursement program407 transponders for sales visits only2- or 3-weeks vacationRESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:This position requires knowledge of service and repair techniques involving diagnosing and correcting malfunctions of Food Equipment and Retail Store equipment.This technician will perform field service consisting of adjusting, aligning, assembling, calibrating, inspecting, lubricating and testing commercial kitchen equipment.Problem diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, electronics, plumbing and gas fueled kitchen and retail store equipment troubleshooting, using innovation and common sense to remedy situations, enabling the customer to resume operation.Maintaining working knowledge of the latest modifications, retrofits, updates, etc. for equipment assigned to service.Assisting others in equipment installations or in performing major repairsAttending, completing service training schools and audiovisual field training, as requiredAssisting in obtaining service/preventative maintenance contractsAssisting in product demonstrationsWorking overtime / be on standby as requiredQUALIFICATIONS:Must speak fluent Bilingual French and English spoken and writtenDep in Electro Mechanics Must College graduate of a Mechanical Electrical Electronic courseMechanical and electrical aptitude3 5 years experience in technical service-related workMust possess a valid provincial gas fitters license- Tag 1 or Tag 2Drivers license with an impeccable driving recordThis position requires good communication skills to deal with erratic hour service calls/ requests, including weekend and shift workTechnicians must be able to travel to the USA (factory training).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without assistanceClimbing up to 8ft with ladderExtensive walking 4-7 kilometers/dayKneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pullingExposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet conditionsOT and On-Call Duty as required
