Job Description We are seeking candidates for future opportunities as Document Controllers in the Greater Toronto Area (Mississauga / Toronto). The Document Controller will be responsible for managing and organizing project documentation. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement processes and systems for effective document control to ensure efficient handling of project documentation. Oversee the creation, distribution, and maintenance of various project documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and other relevant records. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish document control standards and ensure compliance with project guidelines. Manage version control, distribution, and archiving of documents to support seamless communication and information retrieval. Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and consistency of project documentation. Coordinate with stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to facilitate document approval processes. Provide training and support to project team members on document control procedures and systems. Other duties as related to the role. Qualifications: Experience in document control, preferably in the construction industry. Strong understanding of document control best practices and familiarity with relevant software and tools. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing large volumes of documentation. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse project stakeholders. Proficiency in document control software and tools (e.g., Aconex, Procore, SharePoint). Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment. Problem-solving skills to address document-related challenges.
