We are seeking a highly skilled, client and family centered, team oriented, welcoming and engaging Addictions Counsellor to join our team at the Northern Addictions Centre. The Addictions Counsellor III will provide clinical services to clients, including group counselling and some individual counselling to clients with gambling, alcohol, and other drug problems. You will also conduct assessments, provide case management, aftercare planning, and deliver psycho-educational sessions to treatment clients, using best practice guidelines. This role also monitors and evaluates client progress and achievement of recovery goals and adapts treatment plans as needed. As an Addictions Counsellor III, you will utilize your relationship building skills with clients, families, and colleagues. NOTE: Only selected candidates will be contacted for interviews. Description: As an Addiction Counsellor III, you will provide quality, client focused, recovery based and culturally appropriate assessment, treatment, case management, crisis intervention, education and referral services for clients and their families; as well as community stabilization services.
