Preferred candidate location: British Columbia, Canada, or Alberta, Canada Job Summary Reporting to the Business Development Sales Manager, the Industrial Sales Representative will be responsible for achieving assigned sales goals by identifying new leads, prospecting new accounts, upselling and cross-selling DIGI Canadas newly offered line of industrial weigh, price, labeling, and packaging equipment across the provinces of Western Canada for existing and new customers. This is an evolving role. Responsibilities Identify and attract new customers and collaborate with DIGI Canada sales managers to maintain relationships with existing accounts to achieve set sales goals under the direction of the Business Development Sales Manager. Manage all aspects of the customer relationship within the assigned category Implement sales plans and growth strategies to promote and establish the assigned product line to gain a strong foothold in the industry in collaboration with the Business Development Sales Manager Travel to customer locations across the provinces of Western Canada as required to successfully sell assigned category products. Willingness to be 70% on the road visiting potential customers, 20 % travel, and 10% from home or DIGI office location if applicable Cross-sell and upsell DIGI products within the assigned category Prepare sales proposals and value propositions based on customer needs and expectations Provide quotations for customers using price and delivery guidelines and use sound business judgment to enhance volume and margins Assist in designing bid strategies to achieve positive bid closure Prepare sales presentations in collaboration with the DIGI Canada marketing team to create product, service, and solution understanding and awareness, along with return-on-investment calculations Deliver technical presentations to customers Source and develop customer referrals as an additional strategy to gain business Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities; communicate such information internally and drive corrective strategies or actions Work collaboratively with the product engineering, service, and business support functions to deliver set targets Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by in-person visits, phone, and or email Participate in sales campaigns, sales events such as trade shows in all formats, conferences to promote the companys products, including in the evenings or weekends Attend the office location for product demos for customers if applicable Maintain sales activity records and reports, and provide feedback from the customers to the appropriate department managers Update CRM as required per the set standard process Other relevant duties as assigned Required Qualifications and Skills 2-4 years of experience in sales, preferably selling and or distributing products to the food industry Successful completion of a high school diploma is required; other certifications are an asset Willingness to learn DIGI Canada products Technically inclined with sound mathematical skills. Basic knowledge of accounting principles. Valid drivers license and passport. Must have home office space with no distractions Excellent English communication skills, both written & verbal.
