About the Role As a full-time Event Director Team Lead with a People and Project Management focus , you will drive the planning and execution of events, ensuring delivery excellence across the event lifecycle, with the Event Solutions team. As a leader and working manager, the Event Director will have direct reports and be responsible for their development, coaching, and fostering a culture of operational excellence. This role requires exceptional people management skills, with a focus on mentoring and empowering a high-performing team. As an Event Director, you will lead dynamic, cross-functional program teams, driving the successful execution of events, meetings, and conferences for Wynford''s clients. This includes overseeing project lifecycles from the initial handover of concepts to event completion. A meticulous approach to detail and strong leadership skills are essential to ensure every event aligns with client objectives, brand standards, and engagement goals. This dual-focused role demands a balance of people leadership and hands-on execution, making it a critical contributor to Wynfords continued success Key Responsibilities People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment focused on operational excellence. Project Management: Drive the planning and execution of events, ensuring delivery excellence across the event lifecycle. Supplier & Contract Management: Negotiate and manage supplier relationships to secure high-quality, cost-effective solutions. Ensure compliance with client agreements and support the team in contract management. Assignment of Program Hours: Being diligent in assigned hours and supporting the team with communicating overages, and/or flagging concerns / out of scope. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with clients and internal stakeholders to meet and exceed client engagement goals. What You Bring 8+ in full cycle incentive travel program experience, preferably within a third-party supplier environment. Expertise in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Cvent (Sourcing). Proven leadership and people management skills, ability to align with strategic plans, set priorities, and lead teams. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure. Exceptional communication abilities (verbal, written, and listening skills). Experience in building longevity in client relationships and being a trusted advisor. Self-starter who embraces challenges and is flexible when priorities change. Excellent project management skills; passionate about program management. Detail-oriented and takes pride in the presentation and accuracy of their work. Availability and ability to travel.
