Your new company This insurance defence litigation firm is well regarded as a leader in the space and has a hybrid, two days on site working policy. Their work is not traditionally the straight forward MVA files you might see elsewhere, as their specialty is complex insurance defence cases working with municipalities, insurers and financial institutions, to name a few. The founding Partners have worked to create the collegial and team-oriented environment that they are so well known for. Staff''s flexibility to work remotely pre-dates the pandemic, and all firm employees have remained able to work remotely three days per week. Partners recoginize and foster talent with mentorship and opportunities for advancement, often hiring a recent graduate in Reception and working to gradually build their skills before transitioning them to a Legal Assistant and/or Law Clerk. Your new role As a Law Clerk, you will be supporting three competent Lawyers within the practice with the help of an Assistant. Special attention is paid to ensure no one employee is overloaded and the help of additional staff is certainly available if needed. Support staff are eligible for discretionary bonus above the 1400 docket target. What you''ll need to succeed A minimum of 3-7 years of insurance defence experience, preferably supporting 2-3 Lawyers is ideal.
