Overall Responsibilities The Specialist, Market Analytics plays an important role in enabling a data-led organization. This role is responsible for the synthesis, analysis and reporting of brand performance, market trends and drivers, and strategic opportunities. They act as an active business partner through regular reporting, data dashboarding, forecasting, coaching and performance diagnostics. All to turn market data into actionable insight. Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties Reporting Monitor and analyze various scan and panel data to evaluate category and brand performance. Maintain a suite of market and brand performance reports to understand market trends and drivers, competitive dynamics and JWEL owned brand share position (across channels and segments). Deliver reports and reporting packs monthly, quarterly, annually and ad hoc as required. Maintain regular report templates on topline performance, innovation performance, brand growth drivers and category dynamics such as protein. Support the development of monthly operating reports, board of director presentations and others. Leverage the full suite of market metrics (from Nielsen, SPINS, IQVIA and others) to conduct performance diagnostics, deep dive reporting and trend identification. Support the development of longer-term category outlooks, contributing inputs, assumptions, and validation as needed. Monitor and report on customer POS forecast accuracy. Help identify innovation opportunities based on market trends and competitor activities. Support and coordinate advanced analytics projects, such as innovation incrementality, price and promotion, and marketing mix modeling studies. Present analytics updates to brand and cross-functional teams, with guidance as needed. Database, Dashboard & Supplier Management Quality check data, dashboards and reports for accuracy and functionality. Work with internal and external partners to maintain data accuracy and timeliness of internal customer POS and related dashboard and reports. Maintain the integrity of Nielsen database. Develop and maintain tableau dashboards for key reports, such as brand growth drivers, market drivers and more. Continually seek ways to increase reporting efficiency and accessibility to enable fact-based decision-making within the organization Support data aggregation for brand performance dashboards. Build and deliver excel-based dashboards as required. Agile Business Support Act as extension of the local brand team, helping to understand brand and category dynamics and to solve key business problems. Provide analytics support and consulting to various departments, including marketing, sales, finance, science & technology, and management teams. Act as the internal expert on all sources of Canadian consumption data, including Nielsen and customer POS, and support the understanding and regular use of reports and dashboards. AI Integration Assist in exploring opportunities for artificial intelligence to help analyze large datasets, uncover hidden patterns, map trends, and enhance strategic decision-making processes. Work with IT to identify AI and machine learning opportunities for analytics tools, for improved accuracy or efficiency purposes. KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS On-time delivery of regular and ad hoc reporting. Accuracy and reliability of data (Nielsen, customer POS) dashboards and reports. Accuracy and dependability of POS forecast dashboard. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS 3+ years of experience in an analytical role University Business, Marketing or Economics Degree Experience with Nielsen Applications (Desktop, ITO, Connect Express/Discover platforms), IQVIA and/or other quantitative measurement systems, Web-crawling/E-commerce data, Euromonitor/Mintel applications/reports and in connecting multiple data sources (e.g. POS, shopper panel, digital, etc.) Proficiency in Tableau an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to transform data into actionable insights and recommendations High attention to detail to ensure data quality and reporting accuracy, even while working at a fast pace, managing multiple priorities and projects Able to approach problems holistically and strategically; identifying possible problems before analyzing Strong business acumen; able to understand and support business leaders by applying market data to real-world situations Strong overall communication and presentation skills Effective time management Team player who can also work independently A strong sense of curiosity, urgency and achievement Assets include: MBA Analytical experience within a consumer-packaged goods environment List specific key responsibilities here Our Values ACCOUNTABILITY: We do what we say.
