Job Description

The Project Manager will play a key role on Modest Trees delivery team, collaborating with to lead the successful execution of projects for our global clients in the defence, oil and gas, and automotive sectors.As the project manager, you are a strong communicator who thrives in team environments and takes pride in guiding projects through every stage. You excel at managing client meetings, overseeing project reporting, and ensuring scope, budget, and timelines are effectively maintained.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for the clients project authority, ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding project status, negotiating changes, addressing escalated issues, and managing change orders as needed.Support business development efforts by contributing to level-of-effort and cost estimates for new opportunities.Review, interpret, and manage project contracts to ensure alignment with deliverables and obligations.Develop comprehensive project plans that align with contractual requirements and ensure successful execution.Collaborate cross-functionally to implement project plans effectively and meet objectives.Provide regular project updates, including written status reports that highlight deviations from the plan such as cost changes, schedule shifts, key milestones, risks, and unresolved issues.Monitor project progress and review contributions and status reports from team members to ensure alignment with the project timeline.Apply formal project management methodologies, procedural knowledge, and budget oversight to deliver projects on time and within budget.Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and allocation of production resources and deliverables in collaboration with management.Track and manage the effort and performance of the project team throughout the project lifecycle.Other related duties as required.Required QualificationsPMP certification, or PM experience and willingness to obtain PMP certification.Skilled in delivering engaging presentations, facilitating discussions, consulting with stakeholders, and building strong relationships.Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet tight deadlinesExceptional consultative abilities, with a talent for anticipating client needs and delivering tailored solutions.Excellent listening and communication skills; including writing and notetaking.Proficiency in Microsoft suite and project management toolsMust be able to acquire Government of Canada Secret security clearance.Desired Qualifications3-5+ years experience in project management.Experience delivering digital projects to clients would be an assetExperience with courseware and/or training development projects would be an asset
