The successful candidate will have strong financial acumen, previous experience working in an HR role with a compensation focus, and intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.Roles and ResponsibilitiesPerform statistical analyses to review, develop, implement, and manage compensation and benefits programs for employees, including database and spreadsheet maintenance.Oversee job evaluation processes in partnership with the broader HR team, ensuring compliance with established procedures.Assist in documenting and evaluating job descriptions and roles.Address job evaluation-related issues, including managing initial appeals and supporting arbitration cases.Contribute to compensation, benefits, pension, and work experience surveys, analyze results, and help develop recommendations such as salary adjustments.Provide technical support to the HR team and other staff to ensure accurate and timely administration of compensation and benefits programs.Conduct market surveys and prepare management reports in collaboration with the Manager of Total Rewards.Prepare compliance reports for pension and benefit plans in coordination with Payroll.Help with the rollout and development of educational materials related to compensation, benefits, and pensions.Engage in the planning and development of competitive benefit programs and policies.Analyze and reconcile monthly benefit billing, working closely with payroll to ensure accurate deductions.Manage payments for benefits billings, including reconciliation and approval processes.Generate and distribute scheduled HR reports and collaborate on the development of new reports.Participate in annual benefit renewals and enrollment cycles.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications and SkillsAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical abilities for program assessments, market data analysis, job evaluations, and trend analysis.Attention to detail with the capability to produce high-quality work under pressure and collaborate effectively in a team setting.Experience with HRIS and report writing tools.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and planning skills.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and good judgment.EducationBachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CCP, CBP, or CEBS are preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Nice-to-HavesFamiliarity with PeopleSoft.Experience working in both union and non-union environments.Previous experience with benefit and pension program analysis.Compensation $33-$42/hourPlease note, the salary range mentioned in this job posting should serve as a guide.
